Endodontics

When the dental pulp starts to degenerate due to cavity, fracture or infection, it is necessary to treat the soft tissues inside the tooth. A root canal will treat the diseased tissue while maintaining the preservation of the rest of the tooth.

The infected pulp is removed,  inside of the root canal is carefully cleaned and the space is filled and sealed.

If the infection has taken the apex of the tooth, it is likely that antibiotics will be recommended.

This treatment is  painless with the correct anesthetic technique. After the procedure has taken place, it is essential to protect the tooth with a good restoration, strong enough to resist the antagonist tooth forces, like an Inlay / Onlay restoration or a Crown.
